Mind Mapping

This morning in creative writing we were looking at using mind-mapping to help us plan our stories. We used an App called iThoughtsHD on our iPads to help us record our ideas.

We started the lesson by looking at the importance of creating a good setting for our stories. We decided that our story should be set in a forest and the pupils had to note down all the things that they might see and hear. After this we recorded how we might be feeling in a forest.  Finally we worked with a partner and recorded some ideas for our plot.

The pupils quickly became familiar with this App and found it a useful tool for planning their stories.
