Bookshop Visit

This afternoon the young authors visited New Dawn Bookshop in Greenock. Elaine McKenzie-Smith talked to the children about the sort of books that they sold in the shop and how she decided what books to sell. The pupils discussed what made a book attractive and why someone might want to buy it.

The pupils were split into 4groups and were sent to different sections of the bookshop. They were asked to find 2 books that they liked and two books that they didn't.

After this the pupils were given the opportunity to purchase books, gifts or food.

The pupils had a wonderful time and ate bow really looking forward to seeing graphic designer Colin Campbell tomorrow.
